After witnessing copious nights in the warehouse with glasses that refused to be set down, it became apparent that the Blenders Cut needs to be shared! Aged 5 years, we offer this to you at a whopping 115 proof, from the cask. Enjoy straight from the bottle or add a little water to bring out some more flavors. Blender’s Cut is the origin blend of whiskeys used for Doc Swinson’s Alter Ego Triple Cask bourbon before it is finished in three types of fortified wine and spirits casks. We wanted to make this straight bourbon available to Docs fans so they could enjoy a high proof bourbon from the cask and to highlight one stage of blending in our process for the Alter Ego Triple Cask Bourbon. We bottled Blender’s Cut at a staggering 115 proof; it is blended in such a way that doesn’t require us to add any notable amounts of water to the blend to bring it to bottle strength. This labor intensive method allows the bourbon to maintain more mouth-feel and flavor.
